Mercer Planning Associates, LLC (MPA) is a boutique land-use planning firm based in Jersey City that provides comprehensive services to public sector clients. Established in 2007, the firm’s mission is to facilitate a sustainable future through community planning. Capitalizing on staff’s public and non-profit experience navigating regional and state government, the firm adeptly assists its clients in their efforts to implement smart growth principles.
One of the firm’s core assets is the ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and garner inter-governmental coordination for complex planning projects. MPA staff has managed intensive stakeholder engagement initiatives that involve coordinating multiple advisory committees, stakeholder focus groups, and public workshops. Most recently, these services were provided for NJTPA’s Plan 2050, the Jersey City Vision Zero Action Plan, the Passaic County Green Infrastructure Plan, the Sussex County Strategic Growth Plan, Highlands Regional Master Plan Monitoring Program and the TNJ Local Demonstration Project program.
MPA is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certified under the Unified Certification Program (UCP) in NJ, NY and CA; a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certified by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey; a WBE certified with the State of NY; an SBE certified with the NJ Department of Taxation; and a WBE certified with New York City Small Business Services.
